Caribbean Fine Cocoa Conference And Chocolate Expo

This is the second Annual Caribbean Fine Cocoa Conference and Chocolate Expo to be held in the Caribbean Region. This year's theme is "Investing in Fine Cocoa and its Value Chain" in keeping with the current, changing market dynamics in this sector. There will be papers and presentations from experts in the cocoa sector and updates on recent commercial developments from across the Caribbean. The event will be important to all players in the cocoa industry both inside and outside the region, from cocoa growers to prospective investors to processors, research institutions, Government Agencies, NGO's and private companies.

Come and taste the latest exquisite cocoa drinks and chocolate products made from local cocoa beans. Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Ritz Carlton the Conference builds on last year?s successful inaugural event which was held at the Hyatt in Port of Spain, Trinidad (see www.caribbeanfinecocoa.org). We are in contact with a number of small rural businesses staffed by locals who have been trained in the technique of pruning cocoa trees. They use their own power tools and work in teams to do about 2 acres per day for a reasonable fee charge.
